The coil (1) has an intermediate layer tape (3) made of paramagnetic material i.e. polyethylene foam, and exhibiting thickness (5) that is same or larger than minimal thickness. The minimal thickness is determined such that windings of a magnet measuring tape (2) are decoupled from an intermediate layer tape. Pole lengths of the magnet measuring tape are subjected to a pole length variation despite magnetic interaction of the individual windings in an unwinding state, where the pole length variation lies below preset tolerated pole length variations. An independent claim is also included for a method for storing a magnet measuring tape. |
