The present invention relates to a carbohydrate mixture comprising a first fiber containing material and a second fiber containing material wherein the first fiber containing material is arabinoxylan-oligosaccharides having an average degree of polymerisation of at least 2 to 100 and optionally xylo-oligosaccharides having an average degree of polymerisation of at least 2 to 100, and wherein the second fiber containing carbohydrate based material is digestion resistant C6-carbohydrate composition having an average degree of polymerisation of from 2 to 30 and containing 1,2-, 1,3- and 1,6-linkages in an amount of at least 50% and/or hydrogenated digestion resistant C6-carbohydrate composition having an average degree of polymerisation of from 2 to 30 and containing 1,2-, 1,3- and 1,6-linkages in an amount of at least 50%; and wherein said arabinoxylan-oligosaccharides and optionally xylo-oligosaccharides are water soluble. |
