The present invention relates to an active wheel-axle set steering apparatus for a railway vehicle that can improve wheel-axle set steering performance when the railway vehicle runs along straight and curved rails, thereby reducing flange wearing of wheels and vibration and thus securing driving stability of the railway vehicle. The active wheel-axle set steering apparatus includes first left and right mountings installed on both sides of an upper portion of a bogie frame in a width direction at a given interval; second left and right mountings installed on both sides of a lower portion of a vehicle body which are positioned at a front or rear position from the first mountings, in the width direction at a given interval; left and right driving units connected to the first and second mountings by hinges at both ends thereof and flexibly driving according to an interval change between the first and second mountings; and left and right driven units installed on both sides of the bogie frame, connected to a journal box of a corresponding wheel-axle set by a link at end thereof, and elastically driven by receiving power from the left and right driving units. Therefore, the interval between the left and right wheel-axle sets of the bogie frame is changed according to the torsion change between the vehicle body and the bogie, thereby realizing the steering corresponding to the curvature of the curved range. The hydraulic balance between the left and right driving units is maintained, thereby securing the stability of straight propagation. In this process, consumption of additional power is prevented, and separate devices required for the control are not necessary, thereby reducing the cost and easily performing the maintenance. |
