PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust apparatus excelling in assemblability, high in utilization efficiency of a catalyst, and excellent in appearance. SOLUTION: This exhaust apparatus includes: an exhaust pipe; an exhaust muffler arranged on an exhaust downstream side of the exhaust pipe and including an outer pipe and an inner pipe; a catalyst holding pipe for holding a catalyst; a joint pipe integrally connecting an exhaust downstream end of the exhaust pipe to an exhaust upstream end of the catalyst holding pipe and formed into a shape expanding toward the exhaust downstream side; a connection cover covering the joint pipe in a state separated from the outer peripheral surface of the joint pipe and connecting the outer surface of the exhaust pipe to the outer pipe of the exhaust muffler; and a joint flange interposed between the outer pipe of the exhaust muffler and the catalyst holding pipe; wherein the joint flange is bent in a stair-like form by an outer annular step part, an intermediate annular step part and an inner annular step part, the outer annular step part is connected integrally with the connection cover, the intermediate annular step part is connected integrally with the inner surface of the inner pipe, and the inner annular step part is fitted to the catalyst holding pipe in a press contact condition.
