The present invention relates to a light emitting diode (LED) lighting device and a streetlight using the same. The LED lighting device comprises: a board (13) on which an LED package (11) is mounted; a heat sink (15) coupled to a surface opposing the surface on which the LED package (11) is mounted, having a space portion (18) between the heat sink (15) and the board (13), and receiving heat generated by the LED package (11) and dissipating the received heat in the air; and a heat transmission unit (27) filling the space portion (18) and absorbing heat generated by the LED package (11) and transmitting the heat to the heat sink (15). Since a structure is improved such that heat is easily conducted from the board (13) to the heat sink (15) without using a thermal interface material (TIM), thermal resistance can be reduced and heat dissipation efficiency can be maximized. |
