The present invention relates to a vertical electrophoresis system comprising a gel casting apparatus for preventing water leakage, including a gel caster having multiple receiving parts; and a sealing pad inserted into the receiving part of the gel caster and formed to cover an edge of the lower part and both lateral parts of a plate set. The present invention has effects of having a simple structure; being manufactured with inexpensive costs; being not frequently replaced due to excellent durability; and preventing leakage of the gel injected into the space between the plate sets.
