Disclosed is an electrode assembly for a secondary battery, comprising: a first electrode plate having a first coating unit formed by spreading a coating material which includes a first electrode active material on a first current collector, and a first uncoated unit wherein the coating material does not spread on at least one end part of the first current collector; a second electrode plate having a second coating unit formed by spreading a coating material which includes a second electrode active material on a second current collector, and a second uncoated unit wherein the coating material does not spread on at least one end part of the second current collector, wherein the first electrode plate and the second electrode plate are wound and makes a roll structure in a state where a separator is interposed; and either the first coating unit or the second coating unit is arranged on the outermost of the roll structure where the uncoated unit does not exist.
