FIELD: metallurgy.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy and can be used for application of anti-pickup coating on oxygen lance surface at converter steel casting. Proposed method comprises simultaneous spraying of water-air ply at specific water flow rate of 0.3-0.8 l/mby appropriate atomisers to sequential lance section over the entire periphery ay lance downward displacement. Then, loose quick line is fed from slag-forming feed channel onto oxygen lance surface.
