PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image storage device and a measuring method that allow accurately grasping a remaining amount of a battery.SOLUTION: In signal output periods A, C, E, and G, a CCD 101 outputs an image signal, whereas in blank periods B, D, F, and H, the CCD 101 does not output the image signal. In the signal output periods A, C, E, and G, a voltage of a battery 126 lowers because the CCD 101 consumes a current. In the blank periods B, D, F, and H, the voltage of the battery 126 increases because the current consumed by the CCD 101 is smaller than that in the signal output periods. In other words, when the voltage of the battery 126 is measured in the signal output periods A, C, E, and G, a voltage lower than the voltage in which the battery 126 can output at that time is detected. Thus, the operating of a digital camera 100 is controlled by comparing the battery voltage measured in the signal output period A, C, E, and G and the blank period B, D, F, and H with a threshold value. |
