PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that achieves both suppression of shock images and suppression of banding, and suppresses color shift to form good images.SOLUTION: A first gear 101A and a second gear 101B with which a reduction gear 101 is engaged have the number of teeth at an integer ratio. The gear 101A with a larger diameter, of the first gear 101A and the second gear 101B, is formed of a material having a modulus of longitudinal elasticity higher than that of the gear 101B with a smaller diameter in the entirety of the gear or at the teeth part of the gear. |
