Provided is an open M2M system and a method thereof. A resource management method according to an embodiment of the present invention includes the steps of registering the resources existing in a first domain to a second domain; and searching the metadata of desired resources in the second domain. Accordingly, the present invention can optimize information management and sharing processes while supporting the registration and search of the resources on a global scale.
