<p>A carrier (10) suitable to mount an aerosol spray can (11) on a backpack, a belt loop or the like. The carrier (10) has a pair of downwardly depending skirts (20, 21) that are radially spaced from each other, and an upper connector section (24). Squeezing opposite sides of the outer skirt (20) drives portions of the inner skirt (21) inward as well. However, as the inner skirt (21) is oblong, this also causes other intermediate regions of the inner skirt (21) to bulge outwardly. These intermediate regions are designed to otherwise latch onto the can (11), and thus this squeezing helps release the carrier (10) from the can (11). There may also be a secondary catch (51) between the bottom of the outer skirt (20) and the can (11), as well as a positive stop (32) along an inner side of the outer skirt (20).</p> |
