<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arithmetic unit capable of performing exponential operation on a member of an algebraic torus with a small cost.SOLUTION: The arithmetic unit has an input section and an exponential section. The input section inputs a member of an algebraic torus selected from members of an M-th extension field, in which a finite field is extended using an M-th polynomial (M is an integer of 2 or more). When the member of the algebraic torus is satisfied, the exponential section performs an N power operation on the member of the input algebraic torus based on a formula for N-power (N is an integer of 2 or more) on the member of the M-the extension field expressed in a form of vector.</p> |
