<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive baffle plate which improves the fuel economy of an internal combustion engine by facilitating an oil temperature rise at cold start with a simple construction and can prevent an excessive oil temperature rise at high temperature.SOLUTION: A baffle plate 20 is formed with: a concave portion 29 for storing oil in a crank chamber 8 in a manner that, in a state of being mounted to a vehicle on a horizontal road surface, a lower part of an outermost peripheral rotation locus 19 described by a crankshaft 11 and a big end 18b of a connecting rod 18 of an internal combustion engine 1 are immersed in the oil; and an oil discharge port 28 providing communication between the crank chamber 8 and an oil sump 21 for discharging the oil overflowed from the concave portion 29 to the oil sump 21.</p> |
