<p>PURPOSE: A composition containing socheongryong tang(kind of oriental medicine) and lactic acid bacteria-fermented socheongryong tang is provided to protect liver cells from cytotoxicity due to oxidative stress and tBHP, and to be used as a pharmaceutical composition or a health functional food for preventing and treating disorders by hepatotoxicity. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating disorders by hepatotoxicity contains socheongryong tang and/or lactic acid bacteria-fermented socheongryong tang. The lactic acid bacteria are selected from the group consisting of Bipidobacterium, Lactobacillus, Streptococcus, Leuconostoc, Pediococcus, and Lactococcus. A method for preparing the fermented socheongryong tang comprises: a step of mixing crude drug materials including Ephedrae herba, Paeonia lactiflora, Asarum sieboldii, Zingiberis rhizoma, Glycyrrhiza uralensis fischer, Cinnamomi ramulus, Pinellia ternate, and Schisandra chinensis (Turcz.) Baill, and extracting by hot water to prepare socheongryong tang; a step of inoculating lactic acid bacteria mycelium to socheongryong tang and preparing a culture liquid; and a step of fermenting the culture liquid. A health functional food for preventing and treating disorders by hepatotoxicity contains socheongryong tang and/or lactic acid-fermented socheongryong tang.</p> |
