The present invention relates to a lid (1) which is designed for placing on a saucepan or casserole pan (4) and which is substantially round or oval and has a convex shape, wherein an outward oriented surface (5) of the lid is given a convex form, and wherein at least one grip (3) is arranged on or at a peripheral edge of the lid (1). The convex outward oriented surface (5) of the lid (1) has a substantially smooth shape without protrusions. The grip (3) extends radially in the line of the convex outward oriented surface (5) of the lid (1), and an assembly of the lid (1) and the grip (3) has at a transition (9) between the convex surface (5) of the lid (1) and the grip (3) thereof a substantially smooth shape without protrusions. The present invention also relates to an assembly of a lid and a grip. In addition, the invention relates to an assembly of a pot, casserole pan, saucepan or frying pan and a lid (1) according to the invention, wherein - preferably - the lid (1 ) has dimensions at least as large as a top edge of the pot, casserole pan, saucepan or frying pan so as to drop onto or over this top edge. |
