A lid for securing to the rim of a container, the lid including a container closure having inverted dimples positioned along a periphery of the lid for mating with the rim of the container. The periphery includes inner and outer side walls with a top wall interconnecting the inner and outer side walls. The inner side wall includes two or more parallel ribs for creating a no leak seal to the brim of a container. The outer side wall includes one or more dimples which reverse direction and pop up to project outwards and upwards from the top of the lid when the lid is secured to the brim of a container. When all the dimples are raised, the lid is seated firmly on the container. The raised dimples provide both visual and tactile confirmation of a secure seal of the lid to the rim of a container. |
