PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gimmick clock enhancing viewability.SOLUTION: A gimmick clock comprises: a decorative body; a drive mechanism for moving the decorative body; an output unit capable of outputting sound; and a control unit that performs movement control for outputting a theme music piece to move the decorative body from its initial position and that performs return control for outputting, after the completion of the movement control, an ending music piece to return the decorative body to the initial position. A plurality of kinds of theme music pieces capable of being output from the output unit are respectively associated with a plurality of kinds of movement patterns of the decorative body. The movement control outputs a theme music piece selected from the plurality of kinds of theme music pieces, and moves the decorative body in accordance with a movement pattern associated with the selected theme music piece. The return control outputs one ending music piece selected from among a plurality of pieces of ending music having different lengths, depending on whether a stop position of the decorative body at the completion of the movement control is in front of a reference position or not. |
