PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus, an imaging method, and a program to display a live view image corresponding to the constitution of a set of photographs when taking a set of photographs.SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus capable of taking a set of photographs with plural images incorporated therein as an image of one sheet and capable of live view display comprises: a display panel 135; an EVF 153; an imaging device 103 which converts a subject image to image data and outputs the image data; an image processor 109 which performs image processing of the image data; and a set of photograph processor 117 which combines plural pieces of image data having undergone the image processing by the image processor 109 and thereby generates one image. When displaying a live view image on the EVF 153, an image obtained by masking its portions other than the live view image by the image processor 109 is displayed.
