PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel and improved apparatus and method for determining at least one parameter relating to the shape of a sausage.SOLUTION: This invention relates to an apparatus and a method for determining at least one parameter relating to the shape of a sausage which is transported between two transport devices 2a and 2b. A measuring device has laser distance sensors 1a and 1b, the device disposed in such a way that the laser distance sensors 1a and 1b can detect a distance c to a sausage 3 being transported. Furthermore, an evaluation device 4 is provided which determines at least one parameter relating to the sausage 3 as a function of the distance c. |
