A base station device includes an allocation determination unit configured to allocate a frequency band of subcarriers to each of a plurality of communication devices that applies an orthogonal transform to a signal to be transmitted and transmits the signal by arranging the signal on the subcarriers, a communication device selection unit configured to select, from among the plurality of communication devices, a communication device for which the number of subcarriers included in the frequency band allocated to the communication device by the allocation determination unit is not a prescribed number, and a frequency band adjustment unit configured to perform a change that changes a frequency band allocated to the selected communication device, from the frequency band allocated by the allocation determination unit. The frequency band adjustment unit performs the change in such a way that the number of subcarriers included in a frequency band obtained as a result of the change becomes the prescribed number.
