PHASE-ROTATING PHASE LOCKED LOOPS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING OPERATION THEREOF

Disclosed are a phase-rotating phase locked loop to prevent a phase interpolation error, and a method to control operation thereof. The phase locked loop includes a loop filter to execute a phase-rotating phase operation and first and second identical loops which share a voltage control oscillator activated by responding to an enable signal. Also, the phase locked loop includes a phase frequency detection controller which responds to the transition of a coarse signal which can be applied to a digital cord, and provides the enable signal to the first and second identical loops.
