摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding tripod constant velocity joint enabling a reduction in the weight of an outer ring. SOLUTION: This sliding tripod constant velocity joint includes the outer ring 10, a tripod 20, and rollers 30 rollably disposed in the raceway groove 11 of the outer ring 10. The side surface of the raceway groove 11 is formed in a recessed arcuate shape with a radius R0. The outer peripheral surface of the roller 30 includes: a set contact part 31 which is formed in a projecting arcuate shape, includes a set contact point T in contact with the side surface of the raceway groove 11 and has a width set in the axial direction of the roller 30; and edge parts 32 which are formed in respective projecting arcuate shapes and have respective widths set in the axial direction of the roller 30 from the set contact part 31 toward the end surface of the roller 30. Where the radius of curvature of the set contact part 31 is R1 and the radius of curvature of the edge part 32 is R2, these parts are set to be related as R0>R1>R2. The distance between the edge part 32 and the side surface of the raceway groove 11 is equal to or longer than the distance between the set contact part 31 and the side surface of the raceway groove 11.
