PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable accurate detection of the time of shutting off a motor current and estimation of the number of pulses from the time of shutting off the motor current to that of the motor stopping even after shutting off the motor current on the basis of a pulse cycle prior to shutting off the motor current. SOLUTION: A control part 4 counts pulse cycles of every pulse signal output from an extraction circuit 3 while a motor 2 operates, and sequentially stores the counted pulse cycles. The control part 4 outputs a stop instruction to a motor driver 6 while the motor 2 operates, and shuts off the current of the motor 2. Then, upon detecting the shutoff of the current of the motor 2 on the basis of a voltage detected by an A/D converter 8, the control part 4 calculates an estimated number of pulses from the time of detecting shutoff of the current of the motor 2 to that of the motor stopping on the basis of a pulse cycle equivalent to one or plural pulses immediately prior to detecting the shutoff of the current of the motor 2, the pulse cycle extracted from among the stored pulse cycles.
