Disclosed are a method for manufacturing a non-woven fabric and a non-woven fabric manufactured thereby. The method for manufacturing a non-woven fabric according to the present invention comprises the steps of mixing 30-70 wt% of a rayon yarn and 70-30 wt% of a paper slurry to form a fiber web; subjecting the fiber web to a water jet treatment while transferring the fiber web, thereby forming a fiber sheet; and drying the treated fiber sheet. Thus, the non-woven fabric of the present invention can maintain a sufficient hardness during use even while the fabric contains moisture and thus is in a wetting state, and can be easily degraded when the fabric is immersed in a large amount of water after use, and thus the non-woven fabric can be flushed down the toilet. Furthermore, the non-woven fabric has voluminosity, and thus can be useful to wipe out foreign substances put on a skin of the human body or an external surface of an object. |
