PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery module in which a circuit board can be prevented from malfunctioning owing to a thermal effect caused by charge and discharge of unit cells even though the circuit board is housed therein sightly without increasing the whole size. SOLUTION: The battery module comprises: a battery case; a plurality of unit cells having connection terminals as positive and negative electrodes which are spaced apart from each other and disposed on an external surface of the battery case; a cell holder arranged so as to be able to integrally hold two or more unit cells; a circuit board operable to monitor the unit cells; and a cell cover for covering the unit cells. The cell holder comprises: an under frame for supporting the unit cells arrayed in position; and an upper frame for fixing the unit cells. The upper frame comprises: a frame-like part surrounding the connection terminals of the unit cells and coupled to an upper end portion of the under frame; and a substrate-supporting part which is disposed between the connection terminals of the unit cells, coupled to the frame-like part, and arranged so that the cell cover is put on the frame-like part with the circuit board disposed on the substrate-supporting part.
