PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an electrogalvanized steel sheet showing high whiteness. SOLUTION: The method includes zinc-electroplating a steel sheet at a current density of≤150 A/dm<SP>2</SP>using a sulfuric acidic plating bath that contains 0.05-0.3 mol/l magnesium sulfate and has a zinc concentration of≥1.0 mol/l.
