<p>A temporary protective coating composition comprises a thermoplastic polymer which is forms a flowable liquid at a temperature of from 120° C. to 200° C. and which can be applied to an article to form a continuous film thereon which when solidified adheres to the article, but which may be removed manually from the article as a substantially continuous film.
