PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform communication with certainty even when an IP address is changed.SOLUTION: A controller 2 transmits an identification information acquisition request targeted at only a device 4 of the same type as a device 4 connected with a communication adapter 3 that is in a communication error due to change of an IP address thereof, to each communication adapter 3 by broadcast. Thereby, the number of responses to the request can be reduced. Accordingly, communication can be performed with certainty even in a case where the IP address is changed.
