PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device that suitably reduces a shift in recording position due to attitude change of a recording head without reference to the cause of the attitude change.SOLUTION: A test pattern is recorded (S2) and the tilt quantity of a carriage is calculated based upon the read result (S4). In this test pattern, not only a shift in impact position due to attitude change based upon rolling of the carriage, but also a combination of position shifts due to a plurality of types of attitude change of the carriage appear. Namely, the test pattern which is recorded shows a combined position shift due to the plurality of types of currently occurring attitude changes associated with the recording head. Then the attitude of the carriage is corrected so as to suppress the combined position shift. |
