PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a casing for a teaching device in which the need for bothersome manufacture and parts management is eliminated, and the teaching device for a left-handed or right-handed user can be manufactured at low cost.SOLUTION: A casing for a teaching device is characterized as follows: a casing body and a front cover capped and fixed to the casing body are equipped; a first operating substrate and a second operating substrate with two or more switches are disposed at both right and left sides between the casing body and the front cover; the front cover includes a left side penetration part and a right side penetration part where the two or more switches of the first operating substrate and the second operating substrate are protruded and disposed; and the left side penetration part and the right side penetration part of the front cover have the same configuration so as to be compatible even when the right and left positions of the first operating substrate and the second operating substrate are replaced.
