PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic imaging apparatus and ultrasonic image generation method which allow a distal end position of a puncture needle to be more accurately recognized.SOLUTION: An evaluation information generation part 205b generates motion evaluation information showing evaluation of a motion between frames, using a plurality of frames of ultrasonic image data. A puncture needle position detection part 205c detects a position of the distal end of the puncture needle, using the motion evaluation information generated by the evaluation information generation part 205b. A display emphasis part 205f emphasizes display of a distal end image in an ultrasonic image corresponding to the position of the distal end of the puncture needle detected by the puncture needle position detection part 205c. A velocity calculation part 205e calculates moving velocity of the distal end of the puncture needle. The puncture needle position detection part 205c detects a position of the distal end of the puncture needle on the basis of the moving velocity of the distal end of the puncture needle obtained by the velocity calculation part 205e. |
