PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical connector which, when introducing an introduction member into a blood vessel, is capable of performing hemostasis at a different site from a sheath introducer.SOLUTION: A medical connector 12 connects a hub 16 of a sheath introducer 11 and a Y connector 13. The medical connector 12 comprises: a first tube part 63 which is inserted into an inner passage 29 of the hub 16 from the proximal end side and is connected to the hub 16 with the first tube part 63 being extended though a hemostasis valve 18 in the inner passage 29; a second tube part 64 which is connected to the Y connector 13; and a tube bore 55a which communicates the inner passage 29 of the hub 16 and an inner passage 43 of the Y connector 13. An introduction member X is introduced into the blood vessel through the inner passage 43 of the Y connector 13, the tube bore 55a of the medical connector 12, and the inner passage 29 of the hub 16. Hemostasis is performed by a hemostatic valve in the inner passage 43 with the introduction member being introduced. |
