PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact image forming apparatus configured so that image reading and image formation can be enabled with improved timing flexibility, thereby improving productivity.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a sheet supply unit 2; an image forming unit 3; a sheet conveyance path 10; a duplex conveyance path 16; a discharge roller pair 81; a document supply unit 5 which supplies a document to the duplex conveyance path 16; an image reading unit 6 which reads an image on the document supplied to the duplex conveyance path 16; a duplex conveyance roller pair 84 and a discharge roller pair 81 for discharging the document with the image read by the duplex conveyance path 16 to a discharge document stacking unit 53; a drive source 200; a first drive transmission unit 210 which can transmit drive to the sheet supply unit 2, the image forming unit 3, and the discharge roller pair 81; a second drive transmission unit 220 which can transmit drive to the document supply unit 5, the duplex conveyance roller pair 84, and the discharge roller pair 81; and a control unit 7 which can actuate the first drive transmission unit 210 and the second drive transmission unit 220 independently. |
