PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a testing apparatus for vehicles that can provide a vehicle body with forces similar to inertial forces working on the vehicle body at the time of accelerating, decelerating, turning or some other action of a real vehicle without allowing the vehicle body to run relative to members supporting wheels of the vehicle.SOLUTION: A testing apparatus 1 for vehicles comprises a test item mounting body 2 to which four axles 21S, 22S, 23S and 24S are respectively fitted to four wheels including left front, right front, left rear and right rear wheels and on which a test sample is to be mounted; a first motion base 3 for supporting the test sample mounting body 2 and causing the test sample mounting body 2 to make motions of six degrees of freedom; and four second motion bases 4, 5, 6 and 7 for supporting the axles 21S, 22S, 23S and 24S and causing the four axles 21S, 22S, 23S and 24S to make motions of six degrees of freedom. |
