<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester production apparatus and method which can quickly remove water, generated by a dehydration condensation reaction, from a reaction system.SOLUTION: A polyester production apparatus includes: an esterification reactor which performs a dehydration condensation reaction of 1,3-propanediol and dicarboxylic acid to produce a polymer and devolatizes volatile components including released water produced in the dehydration condensation reaction; a plurality of polymerization reactors which perform a polycondensation reaction of the polymer to increase the polymerization degree and devolatizes volatile components including released products produced in the polycondensation reaction; a wet condenser which condenses the released water and discharges condensed components and non-condensed components respectively; and a decompression device which brings the inside of the esterification reactor into a negative pressure atmosphere. A volatile component inlet of the wet condenser is connected to a volatile component outlet of the esterification reactor. The decompression device is connected to the downstream of a non-condensed component outlet of the wet condenser.</p> |
