PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical information processing apparatus and a medical information processing method each attaining reduction in evaluation time and reduction in load of evaluation work by a user.SOLUTION: A medical information processing apparatus 1 includes: a reading-in part 3 into which information on artificial joint devices attachable to a subject is read; an alignment evaluation module 4c which extracts candidates from the plurality of artificial joint devices attachable to the subject using the read-in information on the artificial joint devices; a finite element analyzing module 4e which checks up a stress distribution when attaching each of the artificial joint devices to the subject, and narrowing the candidates in the artificial joint devices; and a display module 4f which presents the narrowed candidates in the artificial joint devices.
