PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a passive film having improved corrosion resistance, in a method for passivation treatment of a stainless steel component.SOLUTION: A method for passivation treatment of a stainless steel component includes a passive film formation step (S12) for forming a passive film by immersing the stainless steel component into an acidic aqueous solution. The passive film formation step (S12) has a first treatment for irradiating the acidic aqueous solution into which the stainless steel component is immersed with an ultrasonic wave, and generating cavitation by introducing bubbles of gas containing oxygen.
