PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a data compression technique that efficiently collects and transfers measuring data while reducing operation of a sensor and minimizing transmission frequency, and adequately grasps the status of a monitoring object.SOLUTION: A data processing method includes control means that performs: first processing that obtains measuring data by operating a measuring sensor in an operation stop state only for a predetermined drive period in response to a trigger signal output when predetermined displacement of an object is detected by a start-up sensor; second processing that totalizes the number of measuring data satisfying a predetermined standard among measuring data obtained during the drive period by the predetermined data collection unit, to store a summary value by the data collection unit as storage data; and third processing that collectively transfers a plurality of stored data by the data collection unit in response to a request signal.
