PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an atmospheric cleaning device for vehicle capable of inexpensively diagnosing the function deterioration of an ozone-cleaning body.SOLUTION: An atmospheric cleaning device functions as follows: in a step 120 in a Fig, energization to an injector is started and thereby, the injection of ammonia from the injector is started and successively, whether a heat value is higher than a prescribed value A or not is determined (step 130); when the heat value is higher than the prescribed value A, it is determined that many pores (fine pores) of an active carbon carrying the degradation detection materials exist; and when the heat value is equal to or lower than the value A, it is determined that the pores decrease and the ozone-cleaning function of the active carbon deteriorates and thereby, an MIL (malfunction indication lamp) is lighted (step 140). Water may be used instead of ammonia. There is also provided a method which makes a photoluminescence phosphor such as a TiO-based or Fe-containing zeolite disperse on the surface of and in the pore of the active carbon as the degradation detection materials and detects a fluorescence intensity by light irradiation. |
