PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric steering control device for assisting steering by a motor, which allows further appropriate steering assist force to be outputted according to a situation.SOLUTION: In an electric power steering system, a target generation portion 22 generates a basic assist quantity for assisting steering on the basis of steering torque. A correction portion 30 generates an assist compensating quantity for correcting the basic assist quantity according to a steering state quantity representing physical volume, which allows states of increase of turning, turning back and holding of a steering wheel of a vehicle to be recognized, and travel speed of the vehicle. Further, an adder 41 generates a correction assist quantity by correcting the basic assist quantity according to the assist compensating quantity. An electric current FB portion 42 drives a motor 6 on the basis of the correction assist quantity. |
