PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the time from when a management target device is connected with a management device until remote management service can be provided for the management target device.SOLUTION: A management device which manages a management target device comprises: a table which associates an area in which the management target device is installed with an installation state of the management target device in the area; an installation state determination unit which, on the basis of the table, determines the installation state corresponding to position information from the management target device; and a service determination unit which determines service to be provided for the management target device on the basis of the installation state determined by the installation state determination unit.
