PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an appropriate puncture angle to be selected prior to performing a free hand puncture.SOLUTION: A display image 70 is an image that synthesizes a tomographic image 72 and a graphic image 74. The tomographic image 72 is an image based on synthesized frame data that synthesizes first frame data acquired by non-deflection scanning and second frame data acquired by deflection scanning. A synthesized area 72A is an area capable of clearly displaying a puncture needle image. The graphic image 74 has a puncture guide 76 including a main guideline 78 and a sub-guideline 80. The main guideline 78 indicates a reference puncture route based on a puncture angle, and the sub-guideline 80 indicates an edge 82 of the synthesized area 72A. A deflection angle &thetas;1 is determined according to the specification of the puncture angle &phgr;1, and the puncture guide 76 is formed. |
