The present invention relates to a composite for diagnosing moyamoya disease by detecting the methylation level of the CpG area of an apolipoprotein-D (APOD) gene promotor. The composite according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: methylation-sensitive restriction enzymes or compounds transforming unmethylated cytosine bases; and primers specific to the methylated sequence of the CpG area of the APOD gene promotors.
