摘要 <p>The present invention relates to a low specific gravity steel material having an excellent ductility and a manufacturing method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the low specific gravity steel material having an excellent ductility includes 0.4-1.0 wt% of C, 20-30 wt% of Mn, 10-15 wt% of Al, 2.5-5.5 wt% of Cr, 0.01 wt% or less of N, and the remainder consisting of Fe and inevitable impurities. According to the present invention, the present invention aims to provide the steel material which suppresses generation of precipitates of kappa carbide in order to have a room temperature ductility of 10% or higher and a weight lightening ratio of 15% or higher.</p>
