PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photovoltaic power module including a metal silicide layer having high power generation efficiency.SOLUTION: A photovoltaic power module of an embodiment comprises a lamination structure including an electrode layer, a metal oxide layer, and a semiconductor layer composed of a metal silicide layer composed of one kind of &bgr;-FeSior BaSi. The metal oxide layer is preferably an SiOlayer. The thickness of the metal oxide layer is preferably not more than 5 nm. The metal oxide layer is preferably a Schottky type. The electrode layer is preferably an electrode layer composed of one kind of NiSior CoSi.
