PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which acquires a set value for a device without increasing the size of a storage area or the number of addresses, even if the number of kinds of toner to be used in future is indefinite.SOLUTION: A set value to be changed for each kind of toner is stored in an external storage device 20. In a device constituting an image forming apparatus and using different set values for each kind of toner, when an imaging unit is replaced and change in toner kind is recognized while an address to be referred is fixed, an appropriate set value for the current toner is extracted from the external storage device 20 and input to the storage area of the reference address of the device. |
