PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of cutting tempered glass which is excellent in cutting accuracy.SOLUTION: A method of cutting tempered glass is for cutting tempered glass which has a compression stress layer formed on the surface of a plate-like glass member and includes a step of focusing a laser beam onto an inner side of the tempered glass relative to the compression stress layer to form initial cracks and a step of heating the tempered glass internally after the formation of the initial cracks and moving parts of the tempered glass to be heated internally along a cutting schedule line so as to cut the tempered glass. In the step of forming the initial cracks, the position of the tempered glass in the plane view is nearly fixed, and initial cracks are formed at two or more different positions in the thickness direction of the tempered glass. |
