Provided is an oil-in-water sunscreen cosmetic which can be applied as a uniform coating film that will not wear off, which is transparent, and which leaves a fresh and moisturized feeling without the stickiness, oiliness or secondary deposition of a UV absorber. The oil-in-water sunscreen cosmetic comprises (A) an oil-soluble UV absorber, (B) a dextrin fatty acid ester, and (C) an acrylic acid polymer, and satisfies the following conditions (1) through (3). (1) The content of (D) a powder is 5 mass% or less. (2) The mass ratio (A/B) of (A) the oil-soluble UV absorber and (B) the dextrin fatty acid ester is 2.5 - 47 inclusive. (3) The mass ratio (A/C) of (A) the oil-soluble UV absorber and (C) the acrylic acid polymer is 4.5 - 35 inclusive.
