<p>Embodiments relate generally to gaming machines, gaming systems and methods of operating such gaming machines and systems. An example gaming machine comprises: a display to display images; a user interface to receive input in relation to a player wager; a memory for storing data concerning a predetermined number of bonus symbols, a predetermined number of gaming symbols, and an association between each bonus symbol and at least one particular type of a plurality of gaming symbols; and a game controller configured, in response to the player wager, to play a primary game of chance to reveal a plurality of said gaming symbols on the display means. The game controller is further configured to: visually depict the bonus symbol with its associated gaming symbol in the revealed plurality of said gaming symbols; and determine if a configuration formed by the bonus symbols on the display screen is indicative of a trigger event, said trigger event inclusive of an opportunity to win a progressive jackpot; wherein the predetermined number of bonus symbols and the predetermined number of gaming symbols remains constant irrespective of a change in the player wager. 0 (00 (0l (Y)) El)</p> |
